What are scleral lenses
These are highly customized large diameter contact lenses used to fit a wide range of complicated corneal conditions. Fitting requires a skilled and experienced Optometrist in the field of hard contact lens fitting. Dr. Morellato has fit 100's of patients and has been fitting such lenses since 2000.
Scleral lenses are used to solve many corneal issues such as:
- Keratoconus
- Corneal transplants and Radial Keratotomy
- high and irregular astigmatism (when soft lenses do not provide desired results)
- Corneas damaged by trauma
- As a dry eye therapy
- For many other corneal dystrophies to preserve corneal health

What is orthokeratology
Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)
Orthokeratology Contact Lenses provide a safe alternative to regular contact lenses and Lasik surgery for patients. They allow easy vision correction by gently reshaping the cornea overnight while the patient sleeps. They are also great for myopia control in younger children.
